Alexia Wai-Chun Tye

Alexia spearheads the advisory work of AddVenture. She has extensive experience in principal investment in direct deals, funds as well as co-investments across Asia, originating from her tenure as Senior Vice President at GIC Singapore (one of the largest global private equity investors) and at the French Caisse des Dépôts (CDC) Group.

At GIC she was also a member of the management team (General Partner) co-managing the $1.09 billion and $1.67 billion AIG Asian Infrastructure Funds.

At the infrastructure subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts (CDC) Group, she was involved in global project development, asset management and the creation of a captive fund.

Alexia has thus been involved in evaluating and investing in deals in Greater China, India, South East Asia, Korea, Japan and Australia over a wide range of industries including environment, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, technology and general manufacturing. In addition to her experience in the entire investment process from deal sourcing to post-investment monitoring, she also served on the boards of investee companies (e.g. Anhui United Power and Suez Lyonnaise Asia Water).

In her ongoing work at AddVenture, she actively evaluates and performs due diligence on private equity funds and direct deals in the major Asian markets, and has enabled investors to deploy capital in several highly successful transactions.

Alexia Tye is a Masters graduate in Applied Mathematics from Oxford University, and also holds a French MBA-equivalent from the Université de Paris-Dauphine. She is trilingual in Chinese, English and French.
