Alexia Wai-Chun Tye
Alexia spearheads the advisory work of AddVenture. She has
extensive experience in principal investment in direct deals,
funds as well as co-investments across Asia, originating from
her tenure as Senior Vice President at GIC Singapore (one of
the largest global private equity investors) and at the French
Caisse des Dépôts (CDC) Group.
At GIC she was also a member of the management team (General
Partner) co-managing the $1.09 billion and $1.67 billion AIG
Asian Infrastructure Funds.
At the infrastructure subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts (CDC)
Group, she was involved in global project development, asset
management and the creation of a captive fund.
Alexia has thus been involved in evaluating and investing in
deals in Greater China, India, South East Asia, Korea, Japan
and Australia over a wide range of industries including environment,
energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, technology and general
manufacturing. In addition to her experience in the entire investment
process from deal sourcing to post-investment monitoring, she
also served on the boards of investee companies (e.g. Anhui
United Power and Suez Lyonnaise Asia Water).
In her ongoing work at AddVenture, she actively evaluates and
performs due diligence on private equity funds and direct deals
in the major Asian markets, and has enabled investors to deploy
capital in several highly successful transactions.
Alexia Tye is a Masters graduate in Applied Mathematics from
Oxford University, and also holds a French MBA-equivalent from
the Université de Paris-Dauphine. She is trilingual in Chinese,
English and French.
