Alexia Wai-Chun Tye

Alexia spearheads the advisory work of AddVenture. She has extensive experience in principal investment in direct deals, funds as well as co-investments across Asia, originating from her tenure as Senior Vice President at GIC Singapore (the largest private equity investor in Asia)and at the French Caisse des Dépôts (CDC) Group.

At GIC she was also a member of the management team (General Partner) co-managing with AIG and EMP the $1.09 billion and $1.67 billion AIG Asian Infrastructure Funds, which at the time (1994 and 1997) constituted the Asia-Pacific region's largest pools of private equity capital.

Alexia has thus been involved in evaluating and investing in deals in Greater China, India, South East Asia, Korea, Japan and Australia over a wide range of industries including telecommunications, transportation, power, natural resources, technology and the manufacturing sector. In addition to her experience in the entire investment process from deal sourcing to post-investment monitoring, she also served as board member of two investee companies (Anhui United Power and Suez Lyonnaise Asia Water).

In her ongoing work at AddVenture, she actively evaluates and performs due diligence on Asian private equity funds in all the major Asian markets, and has helped investors deploy capital in several highly successful transactions.

Alexia Tye is a Masters graduate in Applied Mathematics from Oxford University, and also holds a French MBA-equivalent from the Université de Paris-Dauphine. She is trilingual in Chinese, English and French.
